Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) 

Program Purpose: To provide client intake, referrals, educational material, energy assistance payments, and Weatherization alternatives for elderly, disabled, and low-income Native American families who reside in the Tribes delivery service area of Klamath County.

Description of Current Services: The program provides direct energy assistance payments and housing weatherization to all eligible Native Americans residing within Klamath County. in accordance with program guidelines for clients to be eligible to receive LIHEAPassistance through the Tribes LIHEAP program, at least one person in the household must be Native American, with verifiable proof, live in the Tribes Service Area of Klamath County, and meet the income guidelines of 60% of the median income.
