Adult Basic Education Program (ABE)
The program provides assistance in improvement of basic academic and employment skills. This would include, but not limited to GED classes and testing, self-interest classes, computer skills, and cultural related classes. This program is available to any enrolled Tribal member of a federally recognized tribe. Types of paid services provided include but not limited to:

  • Basic academic skills instruction and applied literacy training
  • Remedial college classes in Math, Reading and Writing
  • High School completion including, General Educational Development preparatory instruction
  • Tribal and general citizenship education that promotes greater participation by Indian adults
  • Education or training that leads to the self-sufficiency of the individual Indian adult participant

Eligible Applicants applying for paid services will:

  • Be an enrolled member of a of the Klamath Tribes or other Federally Recognized Tribe or Alaskan Native
  • Live within the boundaries of the defined Service Delivery Area (Klamath County)
