To provide information, referrals, assistance, and temporary respite relief to primary caregivers of “frail” Elders, and elderly grandparents raising their grandchildren.

Description of Current Services:
The program is responsible for providing information and referral services for Native American seniors in Klamath County. The program also makes available socialization and educational activities and events for elders.
Temporary respite relief services are available for the primary care giver who is caring for a Native American elder 60 and above, and is deemed a “frail elder”; or elderly Native American grandparents who are 55 and above, and are raising their grandchildren.
Respite care providers must pass a background check and enter into a contract with the Tribes to provide temporary respite relief services.
