The Klamath Tribes hosted an Angel “Giving Gift” Tree for the Community of Chiloquin. The Angel Tree Project was for all children in need of a Christmas Gift for the Holiday and was headed up by Danita Herrera, the Klamath Tribes Child Support Enforcement Manager. Angel Tags were placed on a tree at the Tribal Administration office in Chiloquin, where they were taken by numerous Tribal staff, businesses, tribal members, and Chiloquin Community Members. As Christmas fast approached, there were a few Angel Tags remaining and the Klamath Tribes Dental Staff, Klamath Tribes Social Services/TANF Program and a couple of individual staff members adopted the remaining tags to accomplish the overall goal of providing a gift to every child that was on the list.
Tribal Elders graciously donated their time and exceptional wrapping skills on numerous days, and Tribal Youth delivered all the gifts before Christmas.
For all of you that assisted in wrapping, giving, delivering, managing – sepk’eec’a- THANK YOU. You brought much joy to many, many, households.
We pray you are all blessed for your kindness and generosity. This is truly the true Spirit of Christmas.
Thank you Everyone!
