Ila Miller

 

Ila Ann Miller, beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister and aunt, passed away on July 21, 2016, in Sky Lakes Medical Center while surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of Erwin Miller Sr. and they shared 39 years of marriage together. Ila was born in Klamath Falls to the late Clarence “Bud” Gentry and Irma “Bushy” Gentry (Charles) on Sept. 7, 1949. She attended Chiloquin High School, where she was crowned homecoming queen. When Ila was young, her beauty allowed her to follow her modeling dreams as far away as New York City and the California Bay Area. More than anything, Ila loved her family and at heart was a homemaker. Her life was defined by loving and caring for others. In addition to creating a loving home, Ila worked at The Cattle Crossing, Western Log Homes, The Family Food Center, Kla-Mo-Ya Casino and El Rodeo. She is survived by her husband, Erwin Miller Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, E.J. and Traci Miller; son and daughter-in-law, J.R. and Crystal Miller; daughter, Jeanine Miller; son-in-law, Mike Tupper; grandsons, Darius Miller, Sandy Miller and Bill Miller; granddaughters, Larkynn Tupper, Tahj Miller and Shawnee Miller; sister, Patti Jackson; sister/nieces, Anna Bennett, Donna Ridenour and Gina Ridenour; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws, Betty Jo Gentry, Sherrie Miller and Oran Miller; mother-in-law, Ruth Miller; brother-in-law, Thumper and nephew Leo Miller; nephews and nieces and families, Shawn Jackson, Checkers Ridenour, Aaron Crume, Jayson Bennett, Joe Gentry, Don Gentry, Jay and Vincent Gentry, Romy Magnuson, Buck Kness, Raini Harrington, Jasmine Etchevers, and Dalton Harrington, Frank McNair, Brian, Chris, Paul, Renee, Sheena, Julie, and David Gentry Jr., and Joey and Jamie Gentry, and many other family and friends. She is also survived by her very special grand-dog, “Ittle Buddy.” Ila was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Irma Gentry; sister, Nancy Ridenour; and brothers, Gene, Donald, Abby and David Gentry. Her services will be held in Chiloquin Assembly of God (Chiloquin Christian Center) at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016, with a meal directly to follow.
