Klamath Tribes Restoration Celebration: Offices Closed Aug. 23rd

Klamath Tribes Restoration Celebration: Offices Closed Aug. 23rd

Reminder- All Tribal Offices are closed Friday, August 23, 2019 in Honor of the Klamath Tribes Annual Restoration Celebration

Held each year on the fourth weekend in August, this annual event marks the anniversary of the Restoration of the Klamath Tribes, which includes; the Klamath, Modoc and Yahooskin Bands of the Snake Indians (also known as the Paiute- Numu).

In 1954 the Klamath Tribes were Terminated from Federal Recognition by the Federal Government… But, after many years of struggling, hard work and determination, the Tribes regained federal recognition by an act of Congress, Public Law 99-398. With restoration in August of 1986 the Tribes began to develop a full scope of programs which provide necessary services to Tribal members and the community.

Each year we celebrate our Restoration and our vision for the future. This year is our 33rd Annual Restoration Celebration.

This year’s theme is: Culture is Sacred

This is a tribally sanctioned event and we invite everyone to participate in these events and more:
