Leta Eileen Unive was born March 13, 1958, in Klamath Falls to Vernon Ray “Poncho” and Barbara Faye “Bunny” Unive. A graduate of the school of hard knocks, Leta was known to her friends and family as “Lethal Leta.” She enjoyed watching soap operas, visiting her grandchildren, perfume, butterflies, Nike shoes and gambling, but only on occasion. She was also fond of jamming to music, especially sweet soul.
Leta is survived by her brother, Reid Lahr; sister, Shelly Summers; sons, Mark and Cougar Cruz; daughters, Shawnee Cruz and Monica Yellow Owl, and numerous Klamath Tribal relatives. She was especially close to her cousin Gigs, the two were truly sisters.Leta’s viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 at Davenport’s Chapel of the Good Shepherd, while her celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at the goos oLgi gowa, 35706 Highway 62, with a spaghetti feed right after.
