Will you help me? I’m having a Can Drive Fund Raiser- Now Thru Month of August!
Hi! My name is Mercedez, I am an 11 year old Klamath Tribal Member. In February 2017, I was diagnosed with DIPG- childhood brain cancer. I have a tumor inside my brainstem that affects my breathing, heart rate, nerves and muscles.
I recently finished radiation treatment and started Immunotherapy on June 28, 2017. I’m doing a clinical trial called -First in Human. I’m the 4th child to receive this treatment. I travel to Portland, Oregon with my Mom every 3 weeks to get two shots. 1 shot is to kill the cancer cells and the 2nd shot is to boost up my immune system. Before I found out I have brain cancer I was actively playing sports, I was involved with family activities and school events. I started to become weaker, more tired and my eyes got worse. I missed part of 5th grade and I miss being a kid.
My family needs help with gas expenses, etc… So we are doing a Can Drive.
How can you help?
- There are green bags available at the Klamath Tribes Administration Office (501 Chiloquin Blvd) at:
Front Desk, Maintenance, and the News Department.
- Take a Bag or Bring bags you already have at home.
- My family will pick-up the Bags on: Thursday at Tribal Administration on – August 31st!
Or you can call my Mom, Tyra Moore, at 541-591-7628 (They can also find her on Facebook under Tyra Moore)
Thank you for any assistance!
