Nickey Roland Rich Jr.

Nickey Roland Rich Jr., 31, went home to be with his Lord on May 12, 2018. Nick was born on April 24, 1987, to Nick and Kathy Rich. Nick graduated from Chiloquin High School in 2005 and later attended Klamath Community College. Nick worked for the Winema Hotshots until being employed at Columbia Forest Products. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing basketball, hunting, fishing, beading and coaching his boys’ basketball teams.
Survivors include the love of his life, JaLisa Rich; sons, Malakai and Isaiah Rich; parents, Nick and Kathy Rich; brother, Chad Rich (Shahnie Clark); sisters, Tiffany Rich (Ramon Jackson), and Charise Rich, Erica and Randy Campos, Victor and Christina Gonzalez, Karina and Steven Chelossi; grandparents, Jack and Louellen Sternberg; aunt and uncle, Rudy and Lorelei Rios; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nick was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Arlin and Ethel Rich; brother, Emilio Hernandez.
Nick was a very private person who lived by his own terms and expressed his love for each family member in his own way. He provided for his family by being an avid hunter, wood gatherer, fisherman and hard worker. Nick touched many lives through his work, the Indian Basketball Trail and coaching. He loved his sons with all of his heart and always made a point to be at every sporting and academic event possible. Although, he did not like his picture taken his family always made a point to capture a snapshot when he least expected it.
The family wants to thank extended family, friends and the community for all of their love and support. We will be honoring Nick’s wishes of a private memorial. In lieu of cards and flowers, A GoFundMe account has been established for his boys and may be accessed at www.gofundme.com/NickeyRichJr.
