Raymond “Running Bear” T. Barkley Jr. passed away on Feb. 12, 2016, in Klamath Falls, Ore., with family by his side. He was born on Sept. 26, 1964, in Klamath Falls to Raymond T. Barkley Sr. and Claudette R. Miller. He was primarily raised in Klamath Falls and Chiloquin and attended Chiloquin High School. After graduating, he worked for the Forestry Department and as a cook. He enjoyed drawing, hunting, fishing, high school football, listening to music and serving the Lord. He was a longtime member of Williamson River Christian Fellowship in Chiloquin. Survivors include his father, Raymond T. Barkley Sr., and mother, Claudette R. Miller, both of Chiloquin; daughter, Ashley Barkley of Klamath Falls; sons, Justin Barkley and Josh Henderson, both of Bend, Ore.; aunt, Jackie Wiseman of Klamath Falls; five nephews; two nieces; and friends, Warren Griffin, Sally Vassalle and Christine M. Ballard, all of Klamath Falls; as well as three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Renee L. Barkley. A celebration of life service will be at noon, Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, Chiloquin Community Center, 140 S. 1st St., Chiloquin OR 97624. Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Raymond to the Klamath Tribes.
