Update! COVID-19 Community Information

There’s a lot of talk now about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Oregon and the United States

What Klamath Tribal Health patients and our tribal community should know:

  • What coronavirus (COVID-19) is, how to prevent it and what symptoms to look out for (see Fact Sheet and CDC Stop the Germs)
  • Emphasize hand hygiene practices (see Hand Washing Poster)
  • If you are sick, it is best to stay home to prevent spread to our Elders, children and others who may have a weakened immune or respiratory system
  • KTHFS encourages patients to call the clinic to speak to the Nurse before you go in to be seen.  This will allow clinic staff to be ready for you to come in and coordinate your care quickly if necessary
  • Influenza activity remains high and is expected to continue.  KTHFS recommends those 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each season.  It is not too late to become vaccinated, the medical clinic has sufficient supply

What to expect when visiting Klamath Tribal Health & Family Services (KTHFS)?

  • If you call ahead, we can be better prepared for your arrival
  • Screening questions regarding any recent travel and symptoms
  • You may be asked to wear a mask if you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath
  • Hand santizers, tissues and masks are available in the clinic

For more information or further questions please contact the clinic at 541-882-1487 where you can speak to a Nurse and/or your Primary Care Provider.  Keeping informed and knowing where to find accurate information helps. These include:
