Everyone Welcome – Open to the Public
32nd Annual Klamath Tribes Restoration Celebration
This Year’s Event is August 24, 25-26, 2018
Our event is held each year on the fourth weekend in August. This annual event marks the anniversary of the Restoration of the Klamath Tribes, (P.L. 99-398) which includes; the Klamath, Modoc and Yahooskin (Paiute) Bands of the Snake Indians.
In 1954, the Klamath Tribes were terminated, along with several other tribes across this nation by the federal government. But, after many years of struggling, hard work and sheer determination, the Klamath Tribes regained federal recognition by an act of Congress, Public Law 99-398, approved by United States President, Ronald Reagan.
With restoration in 1986, the Klamath, Modoc and Paiute Treaty Tribes of 1864, began to develop a full scope of programs which provide necessary services to help rebuild our Nation and the homelands of the Klamath Tribes – known as the Klamath Basin.
We celebrate Restoration each year by hosting a huge celebration…. Fun Run/Walk, Powwow, Parade, Rodeo, Softball, Vendors…and much, much, more! We hope you can join us! Everyone is welcome- Open to the Public!
