Betty Rose Brown

Betty Rose Brown, 74, “Went home to meet her Maker,” Monday, July 18, 2011, at her Beatty, Ore. residence with her husband of nearly 50 years and her husband’s sister, Renie, at her side. Betty was born March 22, 1937, in Belle Fourche, S.D. to her parents, Jake Mauch and the former Irene Heger.
Betty was a woman who knew “busy hands make a happy heart” and these past 10 years she has worked in food service at KLA-MO-YA Casino.
Prior years she held many other job responsibilities as well as being an excellent wife and homemaker.
There were many happy times when she was playing in the softball leagues. For the family, she’s left a large hole, since Betty was the family organizer making sure that everyone’s birthday was celebrated and all holidays were never overlooked.
She leaves behind her husband, Glen Brown, of Beatty, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in this area and in the Yakima Valley of Washington and three sisters: Arlene Pool, Billie Clements and Mona Worrell. She was preceded in death by her parents Jake and Irene and two brothers, Don and Howard.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Brown Cemetery, Beatty, with Bill Davenport officiating. Food and fellowship follows at the Beatty Community Center. At Betty’s request, no flowers please, but make a donation in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
