Community Services Department

Mission: To provide services and supports to enhance the self-sufficiency and wellbeing of Tribal Elders, Tribal families and individuals, and community members.

Vision: Providing respectful, equitable, and timely customer service to assist clients with basic human necessities, emergency support services, and continually providing referral, information and outreach.

02. Elder Heating

The Elders Heating Program (EHP) is previously known as the Elders Energy Assistance Program (EEAP). The EHP replaced the EEAP, through approval by the Tribal Council on November 9, 2020. The purpose of the EHP is to provide assistance to Klamath Tribal Elders residing within the Service Delivery Area with their home energy needs. The EHP is made possible by funds received from the Klamath Tribes Revenue Allocation Plan (KTRAP)

03. Elders Energy Assistance

Payments for electricity, natural gas, propane, firewood, etc. Must be a Klamath Tribal Elder (60+) & no income limits ($350/year)

Emergency furnace, wood/pellet stove repair/replacement (max $2,500)

01. LIHEAP

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Payments for your electricity, natural gas, propane, firewood, etc. for low-income households ($250 to $550)

01. Home Weatherization

Repairs, or replacement of windows, doors, floors, roof, insulation, appliances, stoves, etc. (max $3,500/five years)

01. Commodities Program

In determining your eligibility for the Food Distribution Program, you must provide proof of income for 30 days prior to the date of application. Visit the Commodities Page for more information.
