The Klamath Tribes Announce New Chairman William E. Ray, Jr.

CHILOQUIN, Ore. – The Klamath Tribes are pleased to announce William E. Ray, Jr. as presiding Chair for the Klamath Tribes following the resignation of former Chairman Clayton Dumont, Jr., effective May 13, 2024.

The Klamath Tribes’ Tribal Council will officially welcome William E. Ray, Jr. as presiding Chair for the Klamath Tribes, effective May 22, 2024, during a regular Tribal Council meeting. In the interim period, Vice Chairwoman Gail Hatcher has stepped in to serve as Chairwoman as the Tribal Council continues to ensure the stability and continuity of the tribal government.

“We have come a long way, and we have a long way to go, and we have a lot of potential for a successful future for our coming generations as long as we work together,” said Klamath Tribes Treasurer Brandi Hatcher.
