Reading Progress:

In loving memory, Beverly Lou Wright

Beverly Lou Wright, 76, was called home to heaven after a brief fight with cancer on June 29, 2023.

Beverly was born on May 27, 1947, in Beatty, Oregon to birth parents Estelle Henry and Edison Tupper. She was raised from age 4 by foster parents, Walter and Mabel Mays, in Klamath Falls, along with her siblings, Furman and Valerie Tupper.

As a youth, she attended Ferguson Elementary, Klamath Union High School and Canyonville Bible Academy. She found her calling and worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for most of her working years.

Beverly traveled from Klamath Falls through California and Arizona and then returned home to Klamath Falls in 1994.

She started college at 60 years old and studied at Oregon Institute of Technology and earned her Associate of Arts degree, class of 2010 at Klamath Community College. She continued her studies to become a Certified alcohol and drug counselor but due to medical issues with her knees she could not continue her schooling.

Beverly worked with the Gospel Mission and oversaw the women’s Alva house for several years. She also attended Faith Tabernacle and Life Recovery church for several years before her knees hurt too bad to attend.

She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She liked old western movies and Antonio Banderas and Charles Bronson movies. She also liked country and oldies music, but mostly in her later years she loved the time she spent on Facebook with all of her friends and family and sent out many prayers and blessings to all she talked to.
