In Loving Memory, Mark Delaney Sr.

Mark William Delaney Sr., 59, a Klamath Tribal member of Clackamas, passed away on January 27th, 2022, due to illness. He was born August 27, 1962 in Chiloquin, Oregon to Henry Landry Delaney (deceased) and Eleanor “Pinkie” McKenzie Delaney. Mark was a member of the Klamath Tribes and graduated from Chiloquin High School. He married his high school sweetheart Angelina Mary Jackson on November 15, 1980.

Mark worked for many years as a store manager for Montgomery Wards and Gart Sports. He also spent many years managing automotive sales for Courtesy Ford and Damerow Ford.

Mark was always willing to help others. Whether his  kids needed help changing a car battery or a family friend needed someplace to stay when displaced by wildfires, Mark was ready with an open house and an original song to help you smile.

Mark enjoyed watching Oregon Duck football and the Portland Trailblazers with his family. When he sat down to eat dinner he always enjoyed it with a tall glass of Kool-Aid. He will be forever remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father, friend and Papa Jeb.

Survivors: mother, Eleanor; wife of 41 years, Angie: children; Mark Jr (Melanie) and Celia: Grandchildren; Mikaila, Mikenzie, and Elijah: siblings; Trena Lisa Avila, Henry Jr, Joe, Jason, Robert, and Cathy Devon Aliser; nieces and nephews: Randy Avila Jr., Eleanor Jackson, Jacob Avila, Henry III, Melissa Terrell, Sam, Mac, Joe Whisler, Jake Whisler, Jason Jr., Jared, Laken, Karma Jo, Tillie, Harmony, Serenity, Amanda Kamauu, Andrew Aliser, Anu Aliser, and their families.

Mark’s life will be celebrated at the Klamath Tribes Fitness Center in Chiloquin on February 4th at 1:30 pm. with a reception to follow at the Goos oLgi Community Center also in Chiloquin.
