Word of the Day

Today we are going to look at noun suffixes. We have spent alot of time with verb suffixes.

Suffixes are small bits of information you add to the end of a word to slightly change the meaning of a word.

Now we are going to look at nouns and a suffix we can put onto a noun to make the meaning more specific.

Today we are going to learn the suffix that means: of, belongs to.

This suffix is : -am. We will use it in a sentence.

hot witemam weas gi. It is a child of a bear. witemam weas also means a bear cub.

It is a bear cub.

witemam=of a bear or belonging to a bear

weas is the normal word for child, offspring.
