Making questions
There are 6 types of questions that we need to use right now. We will examine three today and three more the following day.
1. Yes/no question
Made by adding the word” dal” to the beginning of the sentence and changing the pronoun to fit the situation.
ni panotkis uyamna. I am holding a fork.
dal i panotkis uyamna? Are you holding a fork?
2. dwa is added to the beginning of the sentence. dwa means “what.” These object of the verb is removed as it is what is being asked about. The pronoun needs to be changed to fit the situation.
ni panotkis uyamna. I am holding a fork.
dwa i uyamna? What are you holding?
3. dada is added at the beginning of the sentence. dada means when/where. Again the pronoun is adjusted to fit the situation.
ni panotkis uyamna. I am holding a fork.
dada i panotkis uyamna? When were you holding a fork?
