Today we will continue with -otkis suffix

-otkis is a suffix for verbs that makes nouns. These nouns create groups of nouns that will have their specific meaning given by the context of the sentence.

The meaning of these nouns are the tool, instrument or the thing used to make the action of the verb happen.

For example: the verb pan=to eat

This suffix will create the noun panotkis. This will have the meaning of the tool, instrument or the thing used to make the action of the verb (to eat) happen.

What kind of things are used to allow us to eat?

There are cooking things, serving things, knife/fork/spoon-probably the most common meaning. So let’s go with the silverware meaning for now.
